The artontrack project is a series of original paintings that will cover a range of subjects and eras pertaining to North American railroading. The site is also a place for me to share my one of a kind furniture, carvings and art projects as well as samples of my photography. Most of the paintings found here are still available. I have recently donated the 5th painting, Above Agate Falls to the Duluth South Shore & Atlantic Division of the Soo Line Historical & Technical Society. 60 high quality prints have been made, signed, numbered, and are available for purchase from the DSS&A Division. I have provided an email link for more information in the painting gallery section. The locomotive featured in the painting has been acquired by the DSS&A Division for preservation and restoration and is kept in Duluth, MN at the Lake Superior Transportation Museum. This is a great chance to help support the restoration of early diesel from a colorful upper midwest railroad.

I have been photographing and painting railroad subjects for about 15 years. I grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, attended the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, after college I worked as the art director for Passenger Train Journal, I am currently a graphic designer and illustrator for a direct selling company. I enjoy volunteering time for historic railroad preservation at the Mid-Continent Railroad Museum with an ongoing interest in contemporary railroading across the U.S. and Canada, especially the upper midwest where I make my home.

The internet provides an opportunity to share my art with those who possess an interest in art and railroading. Whether you are looking to purchase a painting or just want to view the art that makes up this series I thank you for checking out artontrack!
